Liverpool face waiting game for Deportivo La Coruna attacker Lafita

Liverpool face a waiting game over their interest in Deportivo La Coruna attacking midfielder Angel Lafita.

Lafita has been revelation for Depor this season and has played his way into the plans of Spain coach Vicente del Bosque.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez wants to add Lafita to his Spanish contingent at the end of this season, but must wait for the player's registration to be cleared up.

Former club Real Zaragoza have first option on Lafita for £3 million and could re-sign the attacker before selling him onto Liverpool. If he was to remain with Depor, Liverpool would be able to buy him outright for his buyout clause - £5 million.
