The Barclays Premier League is on the verge of an attendance milestone thanks to Kopites who turned out at last Monday's clash with Everton. Tonight's fixtures will see the 200 millionth fan step through a Premier League turnstile.
The number of supporters who have paid to see top flight football since 1992 currently stands at 199,977,163 following last week's Merseyside derby.
The milestone will be reached at one of the four Premier League fixtures this evening - either Fratton Park, The Stadium of Light, White Hart Lane or The Hawthorns.
There have been 6,543 matches featuring 42 different teams since the inception of the Premier League in the early 1990s - with 17,020 goals scored.
The current record attendance was set at Old Trafford in March where 76,098 fans saw Manchester United's game against Blackburn Rovers.
Kevin Wall, of Barclays, said: "200,000,000 fans is an unbelievable achievement and means that on average over 30,000 fans have turned up to watch every Barclays Premier League game.
"It goes to prove that the Barclays Premier League is not only watched by billions around the world on television but continues to attract millions to what must be one of the best live spectacles anywhere in the world."
