Accrington Stanley sign Liverpool striker

JOHN Coleman hopes Liverpool striker Craig Lindfield can get his career back on track after joining Accrington Stanley on loan for the rest of the season.

The Stanley boss has long been an admirer of Lindfield the 20-year-old, who has previously scored two goals in 16 games during loans with Notts County, Chester and Bournemouth.

Coleman has confirmed that Lindfield will be involved in some capacity in tonight’s home game against Morecambe.

“It’s been a bit stop-start for him in recent times with a few loans but hopefully he can get his career back on track with us,” said Coleman.

“He’s someone we’ve spoken about for quite a while.

“We needed a striker and he will give us some extra firepower. He’s a good footballer.”
