The Man United bus nearly failed to get the players to the Chelsea match yesterday after the driver lost his keys.
He smashed a window to try to get in — but triggered an alarm which disabled the coach’s engine.
Engineers were called to the Reds’ city centre hotel to get the bus started and they made it to Old Trafford soon after, with the smashed window clearly visible.
A club insider said: “It was really embarrassing for the driver.
“Happily the problem was sorted out very quickly and the players got to the ground as normal.”
A United spokesman said: “It was accidental, there was nothing sinister about it.”The Sun
