Fernando Torres has admitted he wants to write himself into Liverpool's rich European history by helping them win the UEFA Champions League.
The Reds take on Chelsea in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday aiming to move a step closer to the final in Rome.
Torres said his part in Spain's victorious Euro 2008 campaign has given him the taste of success and he is determined to help Liverpool win Europe's biggest prize for a sixth time.
"Domestic titles are very important but to win the Champions League you are saying we are the best team in Europe," Torres told the club's official website.
