2010 Fisker Karma

Fisker is the world's first premium 'plug-in' electric hybrid and it has been in development since 2007 for a market launch in Q4 of 2010. Based out of California, Fisker has built the Karma with partner Quantum Technologies and hopes to offer the electric car for just $80,400 after US government tax deductions.

With regenerative brakes, a functional solar roof and lithium-ion batteries, the Karma is a complicated car. It uses a Ford Ecotec Inline-4 to generate electricity over long distances but that doesn't kick in until 50 gasoline-free miles have elapsed.
