Chelsea's latest financial results reveal they shelled out a massive £23million in compensation following the sackings of previous managers Jose Mourinho and Avram Grant.
The huge sum covers the pay-offs given to Mourinho, who left in September 2007, and Grant, who was axed last May, plus five coaching assistants and backroom staff.
In that time the west London club has failed to win a trophy.
The £23m figure contributes to the losses of £65.7m Chelsea have announced for the financial year ending on June 30 2008.
The accounts do not include the expected £7.5m compensation due to a third manager Luiz Felipe Scolari, who was sacked on Monday.
