The Real Madrid legend believes that the home leg will be key for the side, declaring that the team with the greater passion will progress...
Alfredo di Stefano has declared that he does not believe there is a favourite when Liverpool meet Real Madrid in the Champions League this week.
The two sides do battle at the Bernabeu on Wednesday and all the legendary Blanco would admit was that Madrid have the edge playing at home.
"The players must just play the match, they cannot think about who is favourite and who is not,” he told AS. “On Wednesday, Real Madrid will have the advantage as they are at home, but they must win to take something back to England." Di Stefano, who won the European Cup five times with Madrid in his playing days, also claimed that he does not believe there will be a single player who will decide the outcome of the fixture.
He declared that the "games are won by teams" and that a goal scorer is simply taking advantage of the good work of his colleagues.
The Real Madrid man also acknowledged that the second-leg at Anfield will be intense, but he claimed that his side can win in Liverpool.
