Gerrard 2/1 to win PFA award

Everything is good for Liverpool at the moment, they are back in the title race after two thumping wins against Manchester United and Aston Villa which saw Paddy Power slash their odds to 11/4 to win the league. And they continue to conquer in Europe too, having beaten Real Madrid twice over two legs, The Reds face Chelsea again, this time in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

Can they win it six times in Rome? Paddy Power say that is a 6/1 chance. Some say he is playing the best football he’s ever played so it’s no surprise that Liverpool’s resurgence has coincided with Steven Gerrard hitting the headlines.

He bagged a hat-trick against Aston Villa, was instrumental in the defeat of Man Utd and scored twice against Real Madrid, not a bad 10 days for Liverpool’s captain!

He has the chance now to show his Liverpool form on the international stage when he plays for England twice in the next two weeks. Steven Gerrard’s performances’ have seen him cut into 2/1, second favourite for the PFA Player of the Year Award.
