A blood donation event was organised by the Liverpool Football Supporters Club (LFSC) held yesterday at their headquarters on the second floor of the Le Stadium Restaurant in Rimba.
Vice President of the LFSC Emmy Shamdy informed The Brunei Times that the blood drive was the club's way of giving back to society. He went on to say that the event is also a way of informing the public that the LFSC is not only dedicated to football but also other social aspects of community life.
"The LFSC is much more than just a football club, there is no point in setting up a club if we are just going to gather to watch football matches only," explained the LFSC vice president.
"Donating blood is beneficial for both parties as it cleans our circulatory system while also saving lives," said Sulastri Hj Abu Bakar, a donor during yesterday's event.
