Seville are ready to offer Liverpool up to €13 million for both Jermaine Pennant and Xabi Alonso.Even though Liverpool are hard up for cash the likelihood is that they will turn this offer down, for starters they value Alonso more than that and despite what the papers say Liverpool have not yet decided if they are indeed going to sell Pennant.
The reports from Spain have indicated that Seville feel that Liverpool have no choice but to deal, if that is the case and it has apparently been reported on Spanish radio that it is so then Seville will be in for one hell of a shock as Benitez does not buckle to blackmail.
Liverpool do need funds but they will not sell their players at a figure lower than what they feel the players are valued at.
