Gillett willing to sell Liverpool stake

English Liverpool FC co-owner George Gillett has admitted that he is willing to sell his stake in the club, even though he claims that the club's finances are under control. Gillett has also denied the GBP 350 million loan has to be repaid in July.

In a meeting with the fan's union Spirit of Shankly, Jay McKenna presented a list of grievances that fans currently have with Gillett and co-owner Tom Hicks. Spirit of Shankly stated that Gillett was surprised and suggested that there are a number of parties willing to purchase his stake. Supporters are also furious over Gillett's comments regarding the club's finances.

Three major problems that McKenna expressed to the American owner include the club's debt that has not been paid, he failed to support manager Rafael Benitez, and not building the new stadium as promised.
