Sheringham On Keane

"I don't agree that it hasn't worked out for Robbie Keane at Anfield since his summer £20m move from Spurs. Liverpool are flying but they haven't been in a title race for a long time. Their squad looks good, including Robbie. He's played a lot and scored goals - although not as many as he'd have liked.

"At Anfield, the hunger for a Premier League title is probably stronger than at any other club. The fans are now getting twitchy just 20 minutes into games, when it's still 0-0. Robbie will have to get used to that. But it's not about individuals and both Robbie and his critics shouldn't worry about his form. They should look at the bigger picture and see how much he contributes to Liverpool's cause.

"Keane was bought to play with Fernando Torres but, due to the Spaniard's injuries, that hasn't happened much. So Robbie's had to graft up front alone. But look at the table - Liverpool are up there and that's without Torres. There are only positives to take from that. When they both start firing, who knows what they might achieve?

"Robbie should take the positives out of the season so far, rather than dwelling on what other people have said about his game. He's at the club he supported as a boy, playing in a team that's topping the Premier League table and he has contributed," Teddy told Zoocom.
